An Issue is the default terminology used for a converted PDF.   Once a PDF is uploaded and processed by the system, it becomes an issue.

Every Issue requires 1 epub license (upload license) and once uploaded, the user has 12 hours to delete the issue in order to get that license back for another use.  Issues deleted past 12 hours after upload do not result in a recouped license and are lost forever.

Every issue has an unique issue ID and a corresponding unique issue link.

EG:  www.publishingdomain.com/issue/##### (where ##### is the unique issue id)

All issues must have a parent title it is uploaded to.

You can access your issues by logging into your account and clicking on Titles/Issues, then choosing a title to take you to your title view.  If you have no titles, you also have no issues and must create a title and then upload a PDF to create an issue.

Once in your title view, you will see a list of issues in the Manage your Issues Section.

See the image below of the Manage Titles/Issues Screen, that shows TWO existing issues.

Every Issue has the following attributes and actions associated with them:

  • Name: Edit the issue name by hovering over the name field and clicking on the pencil icon. Click save once done
  • Pub Date:  Date issue became live OR an adjusted date applied to an archive issue uploaded at a later date.  Adjusted dates are entered to ensure the order of issues is correct in the archive lists.
  • Status:  You can toggle between Active and Disabled by clicking on the respective links.
    • Active (issue is live to public)
    • Disabled (Issue is hidden from public view)
    • Future pub (issue was set at time of upload to become active automatically on a future date.  Once an issue becomes active, it cannot be assigned an automatic future pub date again.  If you want to make an issue active before the intended future pub date, you can click Publish Now to instantly make the issue Active.
